ASP Seeking Help in Locating Homicide Suspect

WYNNE, Ark. - Arkansas State Police (ASP) is seeking help from the public in locating Edward Lampkin Jr., 36, who is wanted in the Tuesday homicide of another Wynne man.
The ASP Criminal Investigation Division (CID) initiated a homicide investigation at the request of the Wynne Police Department (WPD) following a fatal shooting that occurred Tuesday, April 14, 2026.

At approximately 11:50 a.m., WPD received multiple 911 calls reporting a shooting at the intersection of C Street and Fitzhugh Circle. Upon arrival, officers located a man later identified as Javon Beal, 34, of Wynne, suffering from gunshot wounds. Beal was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Beal's body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory, where the manner and cause of death will be determined.
