City Treasurer

An Arkansas city treasurer's primary duties include managing the city's financial operations, such as keeping detailed accounts of all money received and disbursed, and making financial reports to the city council. They also handle monetary reserves by investing city funds, and must ensure financial records are maintained and accessible.

The City of Wynne elects a Treasurer every four years, and the Mayor and Treasurer appoint a Deputy Treasurer that works full time at City Hall.  The Deputy Treasurer is responsible for the day-to-day activities, including bill paying and processing payroll.
